Biography
Dr. Khoa Luu is the Research Project Director in Cylab Biometrics Center at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA. He leads biometric projects and collaborates with graduate students and research scholars to build stand-alone biometric systems. He received his Ph.D degree in Computer Science at Concordia University, Montreal City, Canada. His Ph.D. thesis was nominated for the Governor General Gold Medal in Canada. He also pursues (hasn't completed yet) another Ph.D degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at CMU in order to strengthen his knowledge in signal processing. He received M.S. (2009) and B.S (2005) degrees in Computer Science from Concordia University and University of Natural Science in Vietnam respectively.
