Welcome to the second Multimedia and Applications 2016, it follows the first very successful one held in Birmingham last year.

Multimedia and Applications is the most premier conference dedicated to all Multimedia Researchers, Computer Scientists, Practitioners and Students. It provides an international forum to all of you to exchange ideas on ways of advancing the state of the art in Multimedia Technologies, accelerating research and opportunities and their applications.

Multimedia is a special domain. In the past 10 years, we have witnessed revolutionary changes in both hardware and software. Today, computers, digital cameras, and even cell phones equipped with optical scanners can "see" and "hear" various types of objects, images and sound, and "display", "say" and "convey" information to people on site and at remote locations via different multimedia devices.

Apart from the keynote papers on animation and digital fonts, we have widened the scope of the technical program to include technical sessions related to imaging, vision, games, animation, graphics, signal processing, communication networks, tools and applications.

Track 2: Imaging and Image processing

Image processing is a procedure to convert an image into digital form by using computer algorithms, in order to extract some useful information from it. Image processing plays a key role in remote sensing, medical imaging, autonomous vehicle guidance and many more. This track especially deals with Image formation, perception, representation, Image reconstruction, Image recognition and tracking and so on.

Track 3: Multimedia in Computer Games

Computer games are an interactive multimedia with dynamic aspect that are under user control. They range from games which require simple, constant actions to complex digital world. Video games are hugely engaging and Game designer’s plays major role of a comprehensive team of designers and developers that coordinate the complex task of creating a new video game. Game development is the software development process by which a video game is produced. The game industry requires innovations, as publishers cannot profit from constant release of repetitive sequels and imitations.

Track 4: Multimedia tools and Applications

With the emerging multimedia technology many applications came into existence. Developing an multimedia applications requires strong programming on c++, Java, design of multimedia information at human computer interfaces, graphics, Artificial Intelligence, multimedia security challenges such as watermarking, multimedia in e-learning, as well as multimedia applications for preparation, processing and application of multimedia content

Multimedia network builds the multimedia on network and distributed systems, so that multiple users on different machines can share image, sound, video, audio and many other features and to communicate with each other. There is a huge explosive growth of multimedia network applications on the Internet like Broadcasting, IP telephony, teleconferencing, interactive games, virtual world and so on.

Multimedia Signal Processing is the enabling technology for the formation, conversion, and interpretation of information. It includes audio, video, speech, image, communications, Geophysics, sonar, radar, medical, musical and other signals. Multimedia signal processing mainly focuses on multimedia coding, multimodal processing, analysis and interpretation, and media security.
